ADV Macross collection picture & Bandai Macross Frontier BD vol.1 file structure
Above are two pictures for the new R1 Macross and Southern Cross/Mospeada cover. The designs are too simple… The colors are off if you see the R2 HD remaster release…
Also today I got the Macross Frontier Blu-ray vol.1 onto my hard drive, total size is 31.9GB. It turns out that my speculation about blocking the audio commentary from Yack Deculture Edition is wrong. From the demuxed file structure, it appears that the exact same video of Yack Deculture Edition are used twice, one with the show’s audio, another one with audio commentary! So the Blu-ray producer really wants to put 40Mbps full bitrate for the best video and audio possible. If they just lower the video bitrate down 1.5Mbps, they could easily fit the disc within 25GB…
